• CD Album "Voando na Canção" by Fred Falcão under label Saladesom  will be available in stores mid May 2011. Several Brazilian artists, such as Leny Andrade, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Os Cariocas, Mauricio Einhorn, Guinga, Zé Luiz Mazziotti, Clarisse Grova, Sanny Alves, Marcos Sacramento and others, contributed to this album with new interpretations of Fred's musics. Among these are three famous old hits written in partnership with Arnoldo: "Namorada" , now recorded by  Pery Ribeiro and Kay Lyra under an entirely new arrangement by Gilson Peranzzetta, "Lourinha", recorded by vocal group Boca Livre, with a brand new arrangement by Mauricio Maestro, and "Shirley Sexy", recorded by group Chicas, in an updated dancing version and vocal arrangement.  Arnoldo wishes a most deserved success to lifetime friend and music partner Fred in this solo album, which commemorates his long career as a music composer and presents both old and recent works!  

  • Pages 468 and 1009/10 of the "Dicionário Houassis Ilustrado de Música Popular Brasileira" contains, respectively, a summary musical biography and a short discography of Arnoldo. Copyrighted by Instituto Antônio Houassis and Instituto Cultural Cravo Albin, under the authorship and supervision of the well known Brazilian musicologist Ricardo Cravo Albin, the Dictionary is unique for its comprehensive catalogue and careful recount of the history of the most significant composers who dedicated their talent to the MPB. Published in 2006 by Editora Paracatu, RJ, the dictionary is also very interesting for having its pages decorated by a large collection of old newspaper and magazine charges on diverse MPB topics, designed by famous Brazilian comics designers. 

  • Felipe  Radicetti a well known Brazilian/Italian pianist, orgnaicist, arranger, composer and interpreter, who since 2009 is residing and perfoming in Brussels, Belgium, included two musics with lyrics written by Arnoldo in  his new album "Sagrado Profano". Accoustic rather than electronic instrumentation and effects prevail in the new arrangements.  "Nieblas"  and "Diadema"  are the  musics co-authored by Arnoldo and Radicetti..  "Nieblas" has  lyrics written in  Spanish at the request of Radicetti, who has lived before for some time in Spain.

  • Partner  Mauro Marcondes (Washigton, DC), has recorded the new CD album "Mar Azul" which includes the music "Magia do Luar" with lyrics  written by Arnoldo.

  • Yoli Planaguma`s new CD "Na Telha"  includes "Segredos", a composition with lyrics by Arnoldo and music by Mauto Marcondes. , Yoli is a most talented international singer, from Porto Alegre, Brazil, currently on a musical  tour in Grecia.  Yoli  won  the Sharp Music Award for Best Brazilian Record some years ago, and in recent years has lived and performed in Spain and Portugal. Since she returned to her native Rio Grande do Sul  to record the new album, she has made shows in several show houses in Porto Alegre, and traveled on tour to the nearby cities nad states.

  • Greenwich Village, New York, NY, March/April 2007, Arnoldo and Dom Salvador recorded a unique series of piano and voice tracks of their latest compositions at Matsui Studios. Intended just as a memento of their most recent musical creations, the recordings resulted in such a good sound and quality that  Dom Salvador and Arnoldo are currently considering what to do with them. A sample of those tracks can be found in section Lyrics of  this site.  

  • "Arnoldo Medeiros' Spotlight Show" and interview on U.S. radio was broadcasted on December 29, 2006, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, by WZBC 90.3 Fm  Boston, with an excellent feedback from the U.S. public. The show was organized by Patrick Rands, an intellectually challenging radio programmer, highly knowledgeable of international music and a very serious researcher of contemporary music trends. Patrick is  responsible for the musically intriguing radio show Abstract Terrain, brodcasted by WZBC every Tuesday night, from 7:00 to 10 PM. In the recent past he has organized individual spotlight shows on Vinicius de Moraes, Chico Buarque de Hollanda, Quarteto em Cy, Nara Leão, Agustin Pereyra Lucena, and other major names of the Latin American music. One of the highlights of  Arnoldo's show was the first time broadcasting of  the music "The Blast" (see the "Poetry" section of this site) composed by by Felipe Radicetti with lyrics in Engl;ish written by Arnoldo. 

  • Following the recent success of the remastered release of Arnoldo's musics and some tracks from his solo album O Homem, O Poeta in Japan, Arnoldo is proud to know that his music has now reached the Republic of South Korea with the release, on Februray 2006, of the compilation album  Miracle World Music, Volume II, which, in additional several beautiful international songs, contains "Eequeça" co-written and interpreted by Arnoldo. This is the second CD recently marketed by BMG with that song. The first was  CD Seleção: Essencia Brasileira Vol I & II featuring Arnoldo singing Esqueça,  Flamengo 2x1 and Susana.  Flamengo 2x1 continues to be listed as one of the overall top tracks played by www.last.fm  in Japan. We are most appreciative and thankful for the warm and kind reception the Japanese public has been giving to Arnoldo`s music. 

  • Arnoldo wishes to thanks the well known Japanese DJs Keita Takagi, Toru Hashimoto, Masanori Koyama and Yo Iwasava for the broad promotion and publicity given to Arnoldo's music in Japan. In addition to their authoring of several excellent album compilations of good international music, these DJs are highly knowledgeable of the Braziian music repertoire. Takagi and Masonari are authors of the famous Japanese guide to Brazilian music Musica LocoMundo, and Toru Hashimoto has been responsible for the worldwide successful album series Café Après-Midi. These DJs are  part of the famous Japanese group Musicaäanossa. Iwasawa, on the other hand, has authored very interesting compilation albuns released by the Japanese department store chain Beams and Toshiba-Emi, including the series Super Flavors, which contain some of Arnoldo´s compositions.

  • Rosa Passos new CD album Rosa for jazz label Telarc  features  Edredon de Seda", a composition by Rosa with Arnoldo's lyrics.  The new CD promises to follow the successful path of  the CD Amorosa, which Rosa recorded in 2005 for Sony Classics. That album includes Essa é Pro João, also a composition by Rosa and Arnoldo.  Since the first semester of 2006,  Rosa has been performing and promoting her CDs in major U.S. cities of the east and west coasts, as well as in various European countries, including Spain, Portugal, France, Germany and Italy. Her solo show at  the Carnegie Hall, New York, on February 2006 received excellent reviews of the press and is considered a benchmark on her career.

  • "Trip To Brazil", Volume IV,  inlcudes "Shriley Sexy", interpreted by Claudette Soares with lyrics by Arnoldo and music by Fred Falcao. This is one of Arnoldo's most recorded  compositions. A French version of that music was recorded  by the French singer Christianne Legrand with the title "HMS and Ciné Roman",  now included in the re-issue of Christianne's album "Smiles and Tears" recently published in Japan  by Universal;

  • Finally,  the results of the first phase of the survey developed to identify relevant issues for  the dissemination of the Brazilian music outside Brazil are available on the site   http://mysite.verizon.net/arnoldof/ .  Help the Brazilian musicians in their current effort to map the situation and knowledge of  the Brazilian music outside Brazil. Download and fill out the survey developed by the  Research Group on Foreign  Dissemination of the Brazilian  Music. Survey forms are available in English, Portuguese, Spanish,  French, German and Italian. This is a unique all volunteer, non-profit, first-time-ever initiative of Brazilian musicians, composers and interpreters, of which Arnoldo is proud to be a member.        

  • CD: Latin The Mood: Nordic Samba was launched in January 26, 2005, featuring  Johan Hakanson on alto and soprano saxophone, Homero Alvarez on accustic and electric guitars, Marcus Linfeldt on bass and Peter Bylin on drums and percussion,  with the special guest vocalist Giselle Martine. It features Mais Nato Que O Donato with lyrics  by Arnoldo Medeiros, and muisc by Marcus Linfeldt.
